Last week, our Finding Skills was really put into test. Our teaching pool is not yet that big since its an open area and we really have to look for people to teach. We're still teaching most of the time the whole lesson 1 and extend a baptismal date in the first meeting and it is still effective as ever. We would be surprised at times because most of the people we found would often say yes to our baptismal invitation. One thing I learn from my mission is we just have to trust in the message that we missionaries share, have trust that it will touch their heart, have trust that the truthfulness of our message will soften their hearts. And that we as missionaries are their guides for them to know the Gospel. And I know that if they increase their knowledge of the Fullness of the Gospel they will feel something in their hearts and they themselves would begin to ask questions.

And  also some missionaries got emergency transferred in my district, their areas was split to us and the sisters which means more areas to proselyte which actually is a good thing because it means there are more investigators to teach and to find. I'm also glad that the members here in Bantay are really helping us. We have fellowshippers available and our new Ward Mission Leader is really great (He's an RM who just returned last week). There are also a lot of dinner appointments so even though there are so many temptations (AKA Foods) to buy and transportation to spend here in Laoag, okay lang kasi we don't have to cook that much and napag-kakasya yung support ... hahaha.

And regarding my trainee, he is doing really great. We're actually improving on teaching lesson 1 (since that's the lesson we would probably teach the first few weeks) and the lessons on the 12 week program is not actually just helping him but also me. Both of us are growing because of the 12 week program and I'm being reminded of the things I should know. I hope that I keep progressing each day like what my President here said to me last interview "Each passing day, we must strive to become better than who we are yesterday."

Last week is definitely a memorable week for me. It's the week I left Paoay, it really is true that you're gonna miss your first area in your mission, but that is part of our missionary life, we just have to let go and let other missionaries have their turn in your previous area ... Hahaha. Last week is also the week where I got my first call of assignment from President Andrada, honestly when he told me that I'm gonna be a trainer and a District Leader as well, I was a little bit nervous and also knowing that the following day I'll be serving in an open area. At first I was scared but if you're gonna think about it, its a chance for me to grow and serve my fellow missionaries. Last week is also the week I met my trainee, Elder Andon, and he's from Micronesia. At the first day we're having a hard time communicating because English is not his first language and so is tagalog too, but now we're really having fun in the work. I'm talking to him in tagalog now more often. Last week, or yesterday to be precise, was my first Sunday accounting the KIs of my district at first it was mind-boggling but I got it now. Last week was also the week I got to meet the leaders and members in my ward, and they we're all fun and engaging in the work. There was also 2 return missionaries in our ward last week ....which means more fellowshippers. I also made last week fun for my trainee and so far he's doing good right now. We're focusing our studies as companions now in mastering Lesson 1 in tagalog because that will probably be our lessons in the next few weeks. We also had this awesome experience last week where we taught the baranggay captain and all his konsehal and they we're mabait and was listening to us so maybe this coming week we'll try going to each of their houses.

A lot happen this week. We had our Zone Training Meeting and President Andrada was with us. I was also called to be a District Leader and Trainer at the same time. I hope the Lord will give me the Strength to magnify my new callings. We also watch the Area Broadcast yesterday and I do hope that each one of us will contribute to reach our Area Goals this year.

Kamusta kayong lahat! How's your New Year? Kumpleto pa ba ang mga daliri? It's 2016 and it feels like time flies too fast. Last 2015 is really a memorable year for me. I can say that I'm more mature now compared to what I am before. My knowledge and testimony of the Gospel is also growing but my complexion is getting darker. Hahaha. This 2016, I'll always be my best, I will be more obedient and consecrated missionary and as well to talk to many people as I can. I will keep pushing through the grinder and find the people whom God prepared for me. I hope you guys also do the same, to be a child that Heavenly Fathers wants us to be. I love you all, Cheers and Ingat!
